The projects I'd planned would sit untouched. I'd spend evenings on the couch, scrolling, unable to summon the energy to do anything that mattered. And I'd think: What's wrong with me? Why can't I just push through?
The answer, I eventually learned, was simple: because I'm not a machine. I'm an animal. And animals have seasons.
