Winter Is Not a Failure: The Seasonal Energy System That Saved My Life (And Why 'Balance' Is a Lie)

I used to think winter depression meant I was broken. Turns out I was just living like a Florida orange tree in Minnesota.

Every January, like clockwork, I'd collapse. The New Year's resolutions would last maybe two weeks. The gym membership I'd bought in a fit of optimism would go unused. The projects I'd planned would sit untouched. I'd spend evenings on the couch, scrolling, unable to summon the energy to do anything that mattered. And I'd think: What's wrong with me? Why can't I just push through?

The answer, I eventually learned, was simple: because I'm not a machine. I'm an animal. And animals have seasons.
